Lithuanian president approves new government lineup

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda has approved the composition of the country's new government proposed by Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius, Report informs, citing the presidential administration.
The presidential office said Nausėda signed a decree on July 6 approving the composition of Lithuania's 21st government in accordance with the Constitution and following the prime minister's nomination.
Sinkevičius is expected to present the government's program to the Lithuanian parliament, the Seimas, after which lawmakers will vote to confirm the proposed ministers.
The new cabinet includes eight ministerial changes, including Martynas Katelynas as interior minister, Taurimas Valys as finance minister, and Lukas Savickas as energy minister, among others.
