Lebanese speaker outlines conditions for complete ceasefire with Israel

Lebanon is committed to ensuring a complete and comprehensive, unconditional ceasefire with Israel on land, in the air, and at sea, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said, Report informs via IRIB.

"Our position is a complete and comprehensive ceasefire on land, in the air, and at sea, without any conditions," the parliament speaker said, referring to the agreement reached regarding the implementation of the ceasefire conditions with Israel.

Berri noted that the concept of a "buffer zone" is unacceptable.

"We accept only the withdrawal of Israel and the entry of the Lebanese army into the region, concurrent with the return of internally displaced persons. After a complete ceasefire is achieved, we will negotiate a simultaneous withdrawal of the Israeli army from Lebanese territory and Hezbollah south of the Litani River," the speaker added.
