Kazakhstan prepares $255M export list for Canada

Kazakhstan has prepared a list of 45 categories of goods worth approximately $255 million that it can supply to the Canadian market, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan.

This was announced following a phone conversation between Kazakh Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev and Canada's Minister of International Trade Maninder Sidhu.

The two sides agreed to develop a joint economic plan covering trade facilitation, investment attraction, and sectoral projects. Kazakhstan also proposed launching large‑scale joint initiatives with Canada.

Discussions will continue on a possible agreement regarding the promotion and protection of foreign investments.

Additionally, Kazakhstan suggested using the Trans‑Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, also known as the Middle Corridor) to diversify trade and proposed that Canada prepare a separate economic strategy for cooperation with Central Asian countries.
