Chairman of the Senate (upper house) of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev has tested positive for coronavirus, Report informs referring to TASS.
The politician wrote on his Facebook page that he will work from home.
“Despite all the precautions, my last test for coronavirus was positive. But there are no symptoms. I will follow all the doctors’ recommendations. While on self-isolation, I continue to work remotely. We are constantly in touch with colleagues from the Senate,” Ashimbayev wrote on his Facebook page.
He noted that, unfortunately, the situation with the pandemic has not yet stabilized. “We all need to take care of ourselves and our loved ones,” stressed the Senate speaker.
