British carmaker Jaguar Land Rover, part of India"s Tata Group, plans to cut 4,000 jobs over the next two years, Report informs, citing The Sunday Times.
The newspaper said the move was linked to US tariffs and declining vehicle sales.
The planned layoffs have raised concerns among trade unions, which are calling for talks with the government.
In April 2025, Washington imposed a 25% tariff on all imported vehicles.
