Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has for the first time officially admitted his country's involvement in the assassination of Political Bureau chief of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas Ismail Haniyeh in the Iranian capital, Report informs via TASS.
"We will cause them (the Houthis - TASS) serious damage, we will damage their strategic infrastructure and eliminate their leaders, just as we did with Haniyeh in Tehran, [his successor Yahya] Sinwar in Gaza and [head of the Shiite organization Hezbollah Hassan] Nasrallah in Lebanon," Katz said, as quoted by the Ynet portal.
Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran on July 31. Israel has previously denied any involvement in his assassination.
