Israeli army eliminates deputy head of Hamas intelligence department

Israeli forces have killed the deputy head of Hamas’ intelligence department, who was among those planning an attack on southern Israel on October 7, Report informs referring to the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
“Based on accurate intelligence from the IDF and the Shin Bet, the army targeted the deputy head of Hamas’ intelligence agency, Shadi Barud. Barud planned the barbaric attacks on October 7 together with (Hamas Gaza chief) Yahya Sinwar,” the report said.
According to the military, Barud previously served as commander of a Hamas battalion in Khan Yunis and was responsible for planning numerous terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians.
