Israel strikes southern Syria

The Israeli Air Force carried out strikes on southern Syria on the night of February 26 in response to attempts by the new authorities of the neighboring country to take positions and establish outposts in this border region, Report informs via TASS.
"The day before yesterday (February 25), the new Syrian regime attempted for the first time to take positions and establish outposts [in southern Syria], and the Israeli Air Force launched a strike. We will not allow violations of the demilitarization regime in southern Syria or the emergence of threats," Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said.
His remarks were reported by Kan radio station.
