Israel, Hamas agree on major truce points

Israel and the Palestinian radical group Hamas have agreed on the main points of a new ceasefire agreement and hostage exchange, according to the Efe agency, Report informs referring to Interfax.
“The two sides have now reached an agreement under which the truce will last 40 days, during which 40 Israeli hostages, including women, children and men over 60, will be released in exchange for the release of 404 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons,” the agency reports referring to Palestinian and Egyptian sources.
Negotiations to finalize the deal are still ongoing in Cairo.
Israel believes 130 hostages remain in Gaza, 99 of whom are believed to be alive.
