IDF takes measures against those responsible for murder of WCK employees

The Israel Defense Force (IDF) has taken action against soldiers responsible for the murder of employees of the non-governmental organization World Central Kitchen, Report informs referring to the press service of the military department.

“The conclusion of the investigation regarding the incident in which World Central Kitchen (WCK) employees were mistakenly targeted by IDF forces was presented to IDF Chief of the General Staff LTG Herzi Halevi yesterday.

The investigation’s findings indicate that the incident should not have occurred. Those who approved the strike were convinced that they were targeting armed Hamas operatives and not WCK employees.

Measures taken following the tragic incident include: the dismissal of the brigade fire support commander and the dismissal of the brigade chief of staff from their positions, as well as the reprimand of additional commanders,” IDF noted.
