Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided not to launch additional strikes on Iran following a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office said in a statement, according to Report.
"A ceasefire was established at 7:00 AM. At 3:00 AM, Israel carried out a powerful strike on central Tehran, targeting regime sites and killing hundreds of Basij fighters and Iranian security personnel. Shortly before the ceasefire came into effect, Iran launched a barrage of rockets," the statement reads.
The announcement also notes that at 7:06 AM, Iran fired one rocket toward Israel, followed by two more rockets at 10:25 AM. The rockets were either intercepted or landed in open areas without causing casualties or damage.
"In response to Iran's violations, the Israeli Air Force destroyed a radar array near Tehran. After a phone call between President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu, Israel refrained from further attacks," the statement concluded.
