IRGC describes chronology of exchange of strikes with United States

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has published its version of events related to the recent exchange of strikes between the United States and Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Report citing Al Jazeera, the IRGC statement said the confrontation began after four oil tankers, "accompanied by American military forces," attempted to "illegally exit the Strait of Hormuz."

The IRGC claims that Iranian naval forces issued warnings to the vessels, after which one of the tankers was "struck and disabled," while the remaining ships changed course and returned.

It further states that US drones subsequently carried out strikes on a telecommunications facility on Qeshm Island and on a port in the city of Sirik.

In response, the IRGC said it carried out strikes on two U.S. airbases in Kuwait, as well as on the headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
