There is no need for foreign assistance to clear mines from the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said, Report informs via Al Jazeera.
According to him, any external interference attempts related to the Strait of Hormuz "do not stem from good intentions" and will only lead to increased tensions.
Baghaei also noted that all aspects related to demining the strait had already been set out in the existing memorandum of understanding, so there was no need for the participation of other countries.
