Iran's parliament speaker Galibaf set to visit Iraq

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf will travel to Iraq on Wednesday to hold discussions with Iraqi officials on regional issues and bilateral ties, Iranian media reported Tuesday.
According to state broadcaster IRIB, Qalibaf's agenda will include recent developments in the region, efforts to deepen strategic cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad, and possible joint steps aimed at supporting stability and security across West Asia.
The two sides are also expected to discuss bilateral relations, border security, counterterrorism efforts, expanding economic ties and the implementation of existing agreements.
Qalibaf, who serves as Iran's chief negotiator in negotiations with the United States, is scheduled to meet with senior Iraqi officials and other high-ranking figures during his visit, IRIB reported.
