All countries should refrain from complying with US sanctions against Iran, Iran's Foreign Ministry said in a statement, according to The Times of Israel, cited by Report.
The ministry said that participating in the implementation of the sanctions amounts to assisting in imposing the "illegal will" of one state on independent countries.
It described the new US economic sanctions as "illegal and condemnable."
According to the ministry, the measures pose a serious threat to the health and livelihoods of millions of civilians.
Iran's Foreign Ministry called on the international community to uphold the rule of law and said Tehran would use all available means to defend itself against the "joint military and economic attack by the US and Israel."
