India sees another record surge in COVID mortality

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India has registered 267,334 cases of coronavirus infection over the past day, Report informs.

Thus, the country’s total case count reached 25,496,330.

According to the ministry, the number of COVID-related deaths increased by 4,529 per day and reached 283,248.

The recorded daily surge in deaths became the second consecutive record for India. The day before, India saw 4,329 deaths. The daily mortality exceeded 4,000 for the ninth time this month.
