India declares 7-day state mourning on demise of former president

From August 31 to September 6, seven days of mourning have been announced in India over the death of 85-year-old former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, said the government's website.
Report informs, citing TASS, India will lower the national flag in all buildings and postpone all official events.
Earlier, Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and Pranab Mukherjee's son Abhijit Mukherjee stated the politician's death on Twitter. Pranab Mukherjee died at a military hospital in New Delhi. He underwent surgery on August 10 to remove the thrombus. Besides, the former president was diagnosed with coronavirus.
