The statement notes that Hamas intend to reconsider their strategy in indirect negotiations with the Israeli side to resolve the situation in the Gaza Strip in light of Israel's latest actions in the enclave.

According to the statement, following [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu's refusal to mediate the negotiations and the attack and capture of the Rafah checkpoint, the Hamas leadership will hold consultations with Palestinian faction leaders to reconsider strategy in the negotiations.
