Hamas, Palestinian factions agree on Gaza deal

The Hamas movement and Palestinian factions involved in the Gaza settlement process have agreed on all provisions of a deal aimed at stabilizing the situation in the enclave.

According to Report, citing Al Hadath TV, the agreement was presented by the Board of Peace, an international body overseeing the peace process in Gaza.

An official announcement is expected once Israel confirms acceptance of the conditions agreed by Hamas, with details likely to be released on Friday.

A Hamas representative clarified that the conditions include the handover of Hamas"s weapons, including heavy arms, to a national Palestinian committee responsible for Gaza"s administration. The inventory and storage of weapons will be managed by an international committee overseeing movement-related issues.

Hamas also agreed that the handover process will be linked to the actual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. The timeframe for the transfer and storage of weapons has been set at no less than 14 days.
