The number of COVID-19 deaths worldwide has exceeded 3 million, according to Johns Hopkins University, which summarizes data from federal and local authorities, as well as media and other open sources.
Report informs citing RIA Novosti that the number of deaths due to COVID-19 in the world has reached 3,000,225. The number of detected cases of coronavirus infection worldwide exceeds 139.9 million.
The largest number of deaths among patients with coronavirus was recorded in the United States - over 566,000.
