Germany seeks to wean itself off Russian coal, oil imports

Germany is trying to stop importing coal and oil from Russia completely, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on ARD TV channel, Report informs.
"This process will be fast enough. We are already working on alternatives to coal supplies and also oil imports," he said.
Earlier, the European Commission offered EU countries to reduce their dependence on Russian gas by 67%.
