German FM: Putin must prove that he is ready to stop Ukraine war

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has stated that pressure on Russia needs to be intensified, Report informs.

He shared the statement on his X account following consultations with his counterparts from the United States, Finland, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, and Ukraine.

“Russian President Vladimir Putin must prove to the world that he is ready to stop the war against Ukraine. I spoke with my counterparts yesterday. We are united in our position: Ukraine needs security guarantees. Pressure on Russia must be increased,” Wadephul wrote.
