G7 supports extension Ukraine grain deal

The countries of the Group of Seven (G7) strongly support the full implementation, extension and expansion of the grain deal, says a joint statement adopted following the talks of G7 agricultural ministers held on April 22-23 in Miyazaki, Report informs via TASS.

The ministers also announced the G7's readiness to support Kyiv in rehabilitating agricultural infrastructure, including irrigation facilities, food processing plants and storage facilities, as well as in providing financial support to Ukrainian farmers. In addition, the G7 countries intend to help the Ukrainian authorities with the demining of agricultural land.

The ministers also declared their readiness to assist developing countries in improving the sustainability and stability of their agricultural and food industries.
