The United States and their allies are discussing new sanctions against Russia.
Report informs, citing The Wall Street Journal, that they plan to include the price cap on Russian oil products to the sanctions package.
According to previous reports, G7 countries (UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, France, Japan and the United States) are planning to establish two price caps for Russian gas.
Starting in February, a price ceiling option for products traded at a premium to crude oil could be introduced. A different cap can be set for those products that are sold at a discount.
