EU supports the 10-point peace plan proposed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of the Council of the European Union, Charles Michel, said at the plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
He said Zelenskyy's proposal is fair and complies with the UN Charter and international law. "We are trying to unite the international community around this idea."
Michel emphasized that defeat is not an option for Ukraine: "We will continue to support Ukraine for a just peace. The EU should provide the necessary support to Ukraine. Russia should stop the war for peace and withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine. Unfortunately, we do not see that the Kremlin is interested in this. Nevertheless, we continue to fight for peace."
