EU to approve sanctions against Russia over Ukraine on February 25

The European Union will officially approve fresh sanctions against Russia on Friday, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said, Report informs, citing TASS.
According to him, technical groups are currently working on the texts of the sanctions.
The EU official said the European Council would meet tonight to approve the sanctions politically, and officially they will be enacted tomorrow morning.
He noted that the sanctions would affect Russia's economic sectors. Borrell added that the EU has many economic tools to hurt the Russian economy.
