The European Union is gearing up to impose a fresh round of sanctions against the Palestinian militant group Hamas and Israeli settlers, according to a high-ranking European source in Brussels. The announcement comes ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers scheduled for June 24.
"The EU is planning new sanctions against Hamas in the coming weeks, and later against Israeli settlers," the source stated, emphasizing that no decisions on the matter will be made during Monday's foreign ministers' meeting.
