Emomali Rahmon highlights importance of transport connectivity, economic co-op within CIS

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has emphasized the importance of developing transport connectivity, trade, economic, and investment cooperation within the CIS, Report's correspondent in Turkmenistan informs citing Rahmon's statement at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State.
According to him, industrial cooperation, security interaction, technological collaboration, digitalization, artificial intelligence, the development of the green economy, and the implementation of renewable energy projects are also of particular importance.
The President noted that over its 35 years of existence, the CIS has confirmed its relevance as a platform for political dialogue, the development of economic and humanitarian ties, as well as a joint response to security risks and challenges.
Rahmon announced that Tajikistan, together with the UN and other international partners, plans to host a high-level international conference in Dushanbe in June 2027 dedicated to the official launch of the International Decade of Strengthening Peace for Future Generations for 2027–2036.
He also stressed Tajikistan's commitment to further constructive cooperation within the CIS.
