Death toll from Venezuela earthquake rises to 3,685

The death toll from the devastating earthquake in Venezuela has climbed to 3,685, Jorge Rodríguez, head of the National Assembly of the Bolivarian Republic, announced on Telegram, Report informs.
Based on the government"s daily report, 16,740 people sustained varying degrees of injuries, while 17,907 were left homeless. Rescue operations have saved 6,462 individuals, and 25,970 people have received medical assistance in hospitals and treatment centers.
The destruction has been severe: 190 buildings were completely destroyed and 856 suffered major damage. Authorities have provided support to 86,794 families, delivering 9,603 tons of food to those in need.
The earthquake struck northern Venezuela on the night of June 25 with a magnitude of 7.1. The US Geological Survey later confirmed two additional tremors, measuring 7.2 and 7.5, occurring within 40 seconds. In response, the government declared a state of emergency.
