The authorities of Burkina Faso have denounced the agreement with France on the avoidance of double taxation, Report informs referring to Burkina Information Agency (BIA).
The document was signed by the two countries in August 1965 and entered into force in February 1967. According to the BIA, the treaty no longer serves the interests of Burkina Faso.
Ouagadougou was dissatisfied with the silence of Paris in response to two requests from the Burkina Faso authorities to revise the terms of the agreement, which were announced in 2020 and 2021.
