US President-elect Joseph Biden and future Vice President Kamala Harris will attend a memorial ceremony for Americans who died due to the coronavirus on January 19, Report states, citing The Washington Post.
The event will be held in Washington at the pond near the memorial dedicated to the 16th President of the country, Abraham Lincoln. Authorities decided to close the street to the public regarding security regulations at Biden's inauguration on January 20.
According to Johns Hopkins University, more than 24 million cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the United States, and more than 398.9 thousand people have died. The country ranks first in the world in both indicators.
