Belgium sees record number of COVID infections

Belgium has recorded an increase in the average daily coronavirus infection rate, Report informs, citing the Sciensano Institute of Public Health.
The kingdom registered an 82% increase in COVID-19 infections per day.
Sciensano also reported the highest daily incidence since the outset of the pandemic: 27,199.
During the pandemic, more than 2.2 million coronavirus infections were diagnosed in Belgium. There have been approximately 28,400 COVID-related deaths in the country.
The infection rate per 100,000 inhabitants reached 1,108 cases in 14 days.
