Belarus and US to continue work on outstanding bilateral issues

Belarus and the United States will continue working to resolve a number of issues that remain open on their bilateral agenda, US Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale made the statement following talks in Minsk, Report informs via BelTA.

"The parties will continue working to resolve the remaining issues. Once all issues are resolved and agreed upon by both sides, additional releases of individuals and the lifting of sanctions on Belarusian companies will take place," Coale said.

He described the latest round of talks in Minsk as highly productive.

"As always, I thank Belarus, and I extend my great thanks to President Alexander Lukashenko," the US special envoy said.

Following the talks, it was also announced that the United States plans to lift sanctions on two Belarusian companies - Lakokraska JSC and the Bellesbumprom concern.
