Bankovska: New models of urban resilience tested in wartime Ukraine

Ukraine has become a platform for testing new models of resilience, reconstruction, and adaptation under conditions of ongoing crisis and military operations, Alissa Bankovska, President of FIABCI-Ukraine, said at the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

Bankovska emphasized that reconstruction cannot be measured solely by the number of restored buildings.

According to her, this approach underpins the Rebuild Green 2030 program implemented by FIABCI Ukraine (International Real Estate Federation – Ukraine).

The official stressed that the program was created as a transformative recovery platform, bringing together municipalities, professionals, communities, universities, sector representatives, and international partners around the implementation of practical solutions in the field of reconstruction.

She noted that the first stage of the program focuses on building a recovery ecosystem - integrating municipalities, multidisciplinary teams, technologies, recovery concepts, partnerships, and pilot projects.
