Azerbaijani-born official gets senior post in Ukraine"s Armed Forces

Azerbaijani-born Gunduz Mammadov has been appointed deputy head of the Military Law Enforcement Service of Ukraine's Armed Forces.
Report's Eastern Europe bureau said the relevant order was signed by Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
Mammadov is originally from Azerbaijan's city of Ganja. He worked for many years in Ukraine's prosecution authorities. He served as prosecutor of Odesa from July 2014 and as deputy prosecutor of Odesa region from December 2015.
He was appointed prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea by the Ukrainian government on August 22, 2016.
Mammadov served as deputy prosecutor general of Ukraine from 2019 to 2021.
