Araghchi: US and Israel are one party to memorandum, Iran and Hezbollah are the other

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that Tehran views the United States and Israel as one party to the memorandum of understanding, while Iran and Hezbollah constitute the other, according to Report.

"One important point I would like to emphasize here is that, from our perspective, the parties to this memorandum are the United States and Israel on one side, and Iran and Hezbollah on the other," he said during a meeting with ambassadors, chargés d'affaires, and heads of foreign and international missions accredited to Iran.

According to Araghchi, the war in Lebanon and the hostilities between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement became closely linked to the conflict surrounding Iran, making the two fronts interdependent.

"From the very first day, Iran considered an end to the war in Lebanon a necessary condition for ending military actions against the country," the foreign minister stressed.

Araghchi also added that from now on, any Israeli military attack on Lebanon would be regarded by Iran as a violation of the memorandum of understanding.
