Albania has strongly condemned another large-scale Russian ballistic missile and drone attack against civilian targets in Ukraine, Albanian diplomat Ferit Hoxha said in a post on X, Report informs.
Hoxha said the attack was carried out in disregard for human life and basic human decency.
He noted that a residential complex where Albania's ambassador to Ukraine resides was also struck, putting the diplomat's life at serious risk.
Hoxha said targeting or endangering civilian areas and diplomatic personnel represented a grave escalation and another reminder of the human cost of Russia's continued aggression.
He added that Russia had continued to target energy infrastructure, schools, hospitals and homes across Ukraine for more than four years since its full-scale invasion, but had failed to break the courage, determination and resilience of the Ukrainian people.
According to Hoxha, Russia is not winning, but only killing, destroying and causing widespread devastation and suffering.
Albania again called on Russia to immediately stop the attacks, end the war against Ukraine, fully comply with international law and return to negotiations.
Hoxha said Albania would continue to stand firmly with Ukraine and reaffirmed its unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
He also stressed that those responsible for the attacks must be held accountable.
The Russian ambassador to Albania has been summoned for explanations.
