Law enforcement officers have discovered 1.5 tons of crystal methamphetamine worth €28.5 million at the Port of Hamburg.
According to Der Spiegel, cited by Report, the shipment was concealed in a container that was supposed to contain rice from Pakistan. However, during an X-ray inspection at the port, staff discovered methamphetamine instead of rice.
Special equipment has now been installed at the port to inspect cargo and strengthen efforts to combat drug-related crime.
