Sahiba Gafarova discusses preparations for TURKPA plenary in Bishkek

Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova discussed preparations for next month's plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) in Bishkek during a meeting with TURKPA Secretary General Ramil Hasan.

According to Report, the sides reviewed the issues to be discussed at the upcoming meeting and exchanged views on future plans.

They also discussed TURKPA's role in further developing cooperation among Turkic states, the organization's importance as a platform for discussing issues of common interest to Turkic countries, and the significance of the support provided to the organization by the leaders of its member states.

Gafarova shared her views on the work carried out within TURKPA during Azerbaijan's chairmanship and on expanding the organization's ties with international parliamentary bodies, including the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement.

The meeting also noted that the Milli Majlis attaches great importance to developing cooperation both with TURKPA and with the parliaments of the brotherly countries that are members of the organization.
