People over age 35 and with at least two children can voluntarily use female sterilisation

In Azerbaijan, people who are 35 years old and older and have at least two children will be able to voluntarily use female sterilisation, Report informs.

The 16th article of the draft Model Law "On Protection of Reproductive Health", called Female sterilisation, has caused serious debate.

According to this article, people not younger than 35 years old and with at least two children can voluntarily use female sterilisation to prevent unintended pregnancy.

This model bill can be applied in TURKPA member states.
