Parliaments of Azerbaijan, Slovakia ink MoU

A memorandum of understanding on cooperation has been signed between the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Slovakia, Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova said at a joint press conference with the Speaker of the National Council of Slovakia, Richard Raši, Report informs.

According to her, the delegations discussed interparliamentary relations in detail during the meeting.

"Richard Raši and I share a common position on the further development of these ties. The memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries signed today is a result of this," Gafarova said.

The speaker noted that work is underway to expand the legal framework between Azerbaijan and Slovakia: "From the perspective of further strengthening ties, cooperation in the humanitarian sphere is of particular importance."
