Milli Majlis approves restoration of Sugovushan's historical name

The draft law "On renaming the village of Madagiz in the Tartar region of Azerbaijan as Sugovushan" was discussed at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis, said Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Regional Affairs Siyavush Novruzov.

According to Report, the bill was sent to the Milli Majlis on the legislative initiative of President Ilham Aliyev.

After discussions, the parliament put the bill to the vote and adopted it.
