Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker invited for official visit to Bulgaria

Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, has been officially invited to visit Bulgaria by the Speaker of the Bulgarian National Assembly, Natalia Kiselova.

Report informs, citing the Bulgarian Parliament, that the invitation was extended during a meeting between Gafarova and Kiselova held the previous day in Baku.

During the talks, Kiselova emphasized Sofia's commitment to strengthening Bulgaria's role as a key regional hub for the distribution of natural gas from Azerbaijan and other sources. "We are confident that expanding this cooperation will bring substantial benefits to both countries," she said.

Kiselova also highlighted the importance of enhancing transport and logistics ties, underscoring the strategic significance of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), also known as the Middle Corridor.
