Azerbaijan to establish Chamber of Private Forensic Experts

Azerbaijan is creating the Chamber of Private Forensic Experts and defining its powers, according to a corresponding bill submitted for discussion at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, Report informs.

In this regard, amendments are proposed to the Civil Procedure Code, Tax Code, Criminal Procedure Code, as well as the laws "On Social Insurance," "On Medical Insurance," "On Forensic Expert Activity," "On Administrative Proceedings," "On Licenses and Permits," and "On Employment."

The document notes that the Chamber will provide methodical assistance to individuals wishing to work as private forensic experts in preparing for qualification exams; coordinate the activities of private forensic experts and organize their training; monitor their compliance with the requirements of the Code of Ethical Conduct; represent their interests in state bodies and protect their rights; initiate disciplinary proceedings against experts when grounds exist; submit proposals for improving legislation in the field of forensic expertise; and cooperate with forensic experts from other countries, international organizations, and legal entities.
