Azerbaijan bans production of chemical weapons

Azerbaijani parliament has today approved a draft law on "prohibition of manufacturing, reproduction (assembly) and use of chemical weapons and their destruction".
Under the draft law, production, acquisition, storage, reproduction of direct or indirect transfer of chemical weapons is prohibited.
The prohibitions also apply to Azerbaijani citizens living beyond the country's borders under international agreements to which Azerbaijan is a party.
