Ukrainian officers congratulate Azerbaijani army on Victory Day

The officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine congratulated the people and army of Azerbaijan on Victory Day.

Taras Berezovets, an officer of the Ukrainian army who is currently fighting on the front line, and a well-known military expert, told Report that Azerbaijan managed to achieve a great victory: "As an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, I would like to congratulate the brotherly people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the second anniversary of the victory in the Second Karabakh War. As a result of the 44-day war, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan managed to liberate the territories that were once occupied and restore the territorial integrity of the country. During these years, Ukrainians watched with concern and excitement the struggle of the Azerbaijani people for their homeland and freedom. As is known, many Ukrainians took part in this struggle and died together with their brother Azerbaijanis."

He emphasized that the people of Azerbaijan have fought against injustice, occupation, and the indifference of the international community for many years.
"During these years, the international community has not taken any steps for the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Only thanks to the decisive steps of President Ilham Aliyev, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, and the political support of allies, including Turkiye, Pakistan, Israel, Ukraine, and other countries, Azerbaijan achieved the necessary result. As an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, I understand well the pride and joy of the Azerbaijani people. Besides, we share your sadness about the fallen heroes," he added.

Recalling his trip to Azerbaijan last year together with Ukrainian experts, Berezovets noted that they visited many cities of our country, including the liberated territories.

"We saw the results of the occupation, genocide against the Azerbaijani people, war crimes with our own eyes," he said. "The people of Azerbaijan, who fought for their freedom and independence, deeply impressed us. This is an example for the people of Ukraine. Ukraine is currently struggling with a terrible evil force, the ideology of "Rashism," and the Russian occupation. We feel the support of our brothers in the South Caucasus. We are grateful to the people of Azerbaijan for that. Your victory inspires us and gives us confidence that we will win. Long live the friendship of the peoples of Azerbaijan and Ukraine!"

One of the commanders of the Ukrainian army on the eastern front, Roman Solohub, told Report that Azerbaijan set an example by restoring its sovereignty with its own strength: "Azerbaijan is celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the victory in the Second Karabakh War. As a commander and soldier from Donetsk fighting for the liberation of Donbas and other Ukrainian territories from the Russian invaders, I wish my Azerbaijani colleagues not to allow this conflict to be prolonged, to solve the remaining problems related to the invaders immediately and without wasting time. The Azerbaijani army is capable of this with its power. We are together until victory!"
