Ukrainian MP: If Iran continues to help aggression, economic sanctions will be applied

Tehran bears full responsibility for the deterioration of relations with Kyiv and deliberately helps Moscow to continue aggression against our country and kill our people. We have already withdrawn the accreditation of the Iranian ambassador. If this doesn’t affect Tehran, further economic sanctions will be applied, Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the ruling Servant of the People party Valery Kolyukh told the East European bureau of Report.

He noted that Russia openly compensates for the acute shortage of missile weapons with Iranian unmanned vehicles and tries to intimidate the civilian population:

“The entry into the game of such Iranian UAVs as Shahed-131, Shahed-136, Mohajer-6 has created some psychological effect - the sound of a ‘moped’ has definitely become the hallmark of this weapon and causes unpleasant emotions among the civilian population of Ukraine.”

Kolyukh noted that Ukraine does not intend to be tolerant towards the accomplices of the aggressor:

“The use of Iranian UAVs by Russia in the latest attacks on Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia and other cities of Ukraine played a certain role in Moscow’s inhumane policy of depriving our state, our society of electricity in the winter. Yes, our energy infrastructure was partially subject to strikes as well as Iranian drones, as well as Russian cruise and ballistic missiles. We are not going to be tolerant towards the accomplices of the aggressor.”
