Following the 44-day Patriotic War, restoration and construction works have been actively carried out in the territories liberated from occupation. As part of these efforts, new military units are being established and the material and technical resources of the Azerbaijani Army are being strengthened.
Today, Azerbaijani soldiers serve in the most remote parts of the liberated territories, where the tricolor flag flies proudly atop the heights. The servicemen of the Armed Forces, whose victory is inscribed in history in golden letters, control every inch of these lands, maintain stability, ensure the safety of the population, and inspire confidence in the future.
Report's correspondent visited Lachin to see the conditions created for the Azerbaijani Army in the liberated territories. His visit coincided with the soldiers’ mealtime. In the military unit’s kitchen, a variety of national dishes are prepared, making the soldiers feel at home. Meals are cooked by civilian employees, who also serve in various positions within the unit. In the past, these duties were performed by soldiers themselves. Now, servicemen save their time and focus solely on their service.
One serviceman shared that he has been serving in the Azerbaijani Army for over four years and expressed gratitude to the head of state for his care:
“One of the factors that ensured our victory in the Patriotic War is the professionalism of our army. Servicemen always feel the attention and care of the state.”
Another soldier, originally from the Shabran district, also took part in the battles of the 44-day war:
“I am proud of this. I also participated in anti-terrorist operations. The enemy could not withstand the advance of the united Azerbaijani Army and often abandoned their positions.”
Another interviewee spoke about the work of snipers. According to him, their thinking and actions differ significantly from the tactics and approaches of other servicemen.
“The living conditions for servicemen here are at a high level. The command regularly monitors this issue. The personnel follow the daily schedule and also have the opportunity to meet and communicate with their families,” the soldier said.
After speaking with the servicemen, the Report correspondent went to the training ground to observe their exercises. Snipers, using camouflage, carry out various combat tasks to detect and neutralize targets. Proper positioning and concealment in line with the terrain are among the key factors for success.
Observations show that the snipers skillfully follow these requirements, paying close attention to every detail while performing their missions.
It can be said with confidence that the liberated lands of Azerbaijan are now in safe hands. The servicemen of the country’s Armed Forces tirelessly serve the Motherland, carrying out their duties in diverse terrain and under all weather conditions.
