Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), announced that during the Armenian occupation, minefields targeting the civilian population only were created in the Azerbaijani territories.
According to Report, he told journalists that about 70% of landmine incidents occurred inside the former contact line:
"Unfortunately, Armenia created minefields contrary to all logic - not only along the line of contact, which could be explained, but exclusively directed against the civilian population and located in the depths far from the line."
