MEDIA exposes Tsargrad's fake news threatening Azerbaijan-Türkiye alliance

The Azerbaijan Media Development Agency (MEDIA) has condemned a new wave of disinformation spread by the Russian propaganda outlet Tsargrad TV.

MEDIA told Report that Tsargrad's manipulative publications are being actively amplified by other Russian-language online platforms and are aimed at undermining the strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

The agency emphasized that these materials do not reflect real developments and that their source raises serious concerns.

"We strongly condemn this disinformation, which is designed to distort public opinion and harm the strategic alliance and brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Türkiye. We also call on journalists and media organizations in Azerbaijan and Türkiye to take a principled stance against such fakes, refrain from disseminating unverified information, and demonstrate responsibility in protecting the information environment," MEDIA said in a statement.

The agency also urged the public in both countries not to trust fake publications circulated by such outlets and to rely solely on information from official sources.

"MEDIA will continue effective cooperation with the Department of Communications of the Presidency of Türkiye in order to prevent such incidents and to develop a unified position in the fight against disinformation," the agency added.
